Hiking
45 minutes from the beach or 1 hour 45 minutes from the city, in the Anton Valley, lies a picturesque village in the crater of an extinct volcano.
On our hike we will make a brief stop to admire a geological native secret: a gigantic worked rock, which is believed to be a primitive map of the region, with human shaped illustrations as well as many symbols which are not yet deciphered. We then enter the wilderness until we reach the waterfall of lovers, “Chorro de los Enamorados”. We will keep walking though the mountain until we reach the top of the famous “ Sleeping Indian Mountain”. We will stop to take in the beautiful view, take pictures. There will be time to meditate and relax before we are ready to descend the mountain. Close to the end we will stop and enjoy some snacks and drinks in the Cueva de los Enamorados or Lover’s cave. Hiking takes 3 hours aprox.
Finally we will stop at a craft market where you can find a many different kinds of tropical flowers, fruits, vegetables, as well as crafts handmade by the villagers themselves.
